Jani-King in Edmonton goes red in support of the Canadian Red Cross

Our team in Edmonton recently traded our everyday black Jani-King uniforms to go red in an effort to raise money and awareness for an organization that is close to our hearts and our community – the Canadian Red Cross.

Jani-King shares a long history with the city of Edmonton, its residents and businesses, and it has been our desire to give back whenever we can. Jani-King’s national charity of choice is the Canadian Red Cross, an organization that has special meaning especially to those of us in Alberta. We’ve all seen (and been touched by) the great work of the Red Cross, during the Alberta Fires of 2016 and through their many community programs.

Last week we invited our more than 65 franchise owners and local neighbours to join us at a fundraising BBQ in support of the Canadian Red Cross.

“Jani-King is proud to support the Canadian Red Cross this month, and our team here in Edmonton was excited to get behind all of the fundraising efforts. Swapping out our traditional uniforms for something more colourful that also allowed us to raise awareness for such a great cause was a win-win in our books,” says Thomas Daigle, Regional Director for Jani-King of Northern Alberta. “A huge thank you to everyone who took time out of their day to join us for an afternoon of fun!”

This year, all donations received through our 2018 Red Cross campaign will be matched by the Jani-King Canada head office up to a maximum donation of $40,000.
