Once a year the Jani-King Canada team of Master Franchisors, Regional Directors, and National Office staff take part in two days of discussions related to system-wide matters with a focus on business development. Taking this time and dedicating it towards brainstorming new ideas and growth opportunities is essential in providing a healthy and vibrant franchise system. The more than 550 Franchise Owners across Canada count on us for leadership, support and keeping Jani-King at the cutting edge of the industry.
This year the team came together in Bear Mountain, a resort community located on Vancouver Island in British Columbia. Jani-King of Vancouver Island is the Official Cleaning Company of the Westin Bear Mountain Resort and Spa Victoria, so this made for a very fitting venue.
Inspired by the picturesque views of mountains and Canada’s only two golf courses of Nicklaus design, the team talked about the current climate of franchising in Canada. We were joined by a panel of experts who shared important developments that impact all Regional Offices and Franchise Owners including changes to labour laws, national equipment and supply programs, as well as the latest in technology and lead generation activities. These sessions, combined with round table discussions focusing on new markets and opportunities, have laid a strong foundation for 2019.
At the end of our time together everyone left with new ideas and best practices to take back to their local offices and to share with staff and Franchisees. The team is already looking forward to our 2019 Annual Meeting, which is slated to be a very special event as we will be joining in with the Jani-King International Convention in Dallas to celebrate Jani-King’s 50th Anniversary.
