Victoria, British Columbia- As the holidays approach, many of us find ourselves in the giving spirit. Supporting local charities is a great way to spread some cheer and help those closest to us this holiday season.
This year, the Jani-King of Vancouver Island team participated in 100.3 The Q!’s Help the Homeless event for the fourth year in a row. The event, broadcast live from the Mayfair Shopping Centre, collected donations to help benefit Greater Victoria’s marginalized and most vulnerable people.
“I’m very proud of our team, this is our largest donation to date, and I know that the money will go a long way in helping make someone’s life a little bit better this winter,” says Chris Westlake, Regional Director of Jani-King of Vancouver Island. “A huge thank you goes out to everyone who donated to this great cause.”
Jani-King franchisees and staff members raised $2,000 for this great event. All funds will go towards the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and Our Place Society.
