Members from Jani-King Ottawa, Eastern Ontario, and Southern Ontario attended BOMEX 2026. It brought commercial real estate professionals from across Canada together in Ottawa from September 22 to 24 for three days of education, networking and industry connection. Hosted at the Rogers Centre Ottawa, the annual event provided an opportunity for professionals involved in owning, managing and operating commercial properties to come together and discuss the issues and opportunities affecting the industry.
The main conference programming on September 23 and 24 included keynote presentations, educational breakout sessions, an Exhibitor Marketplace and opportunities for attendees to connect and exchange ideas. Discussions throughout the event explored topics relevant to today’s commercial real estate environment, including building performance, operations, sustainability, innovation and the changing expectations surrounding commercial properties.
Attendees also had opportunities to step outside the traditional conference setting through building tours, networking events and dedicated industry gatherings. The program included the Women in Commercial Real Estate Lunch, BOMEX Happy Hour and an evening social event, providing additional opportunities for professionals from across the country to build relationships and share experiences.
The final day featured the State of the Industry Executive Roundtable, additional educational sessions and building tours, along with the Enspire Awards luncheon. These sessions gave attendees an opportunity to hear different perspectives on the direction of the industry and the challenges and opportunities facing commercial properties today.
Events like BOMEX provide an important opportunity for those working throughout the commercial building industry to stay connected, exchange ideas and learn more about the trends shaping the facilities they own, manage and service. For Jani-King, staying connected to the commercial real estate community helps us continue to understand the priorities and evolving needs of the businesses and facilities our industry serves.
