Jani-King Supports #pinkshirtday in Winnipeg

National Pink Shirt Day takes place every February to raise awareness for bullying in schools, workplaces, homes and over the internet.

This year, the Jani-King team in Winnipeg was proud to take a stand against bullying by sporting the trademark pink t-shirts in support of #pinkshirtday.

“As a father of 5 children I know first hand that kids are bullied at school. Sometimes it is physical however most of time it is emotional,” says Bill Cole, General Manager at Jani-King of Manitoba. ” I advocate that every child should be taught and encouraged to stand up for his or herself when being bullied and to also let an adult know of the situation. However many times this is not the case and many children just accept it and they continue to be bullied throughout the years. All team members of Jani-King of Manitoba have or know someone who has experienced being bullied. We wanted to help bring awareness and to stand up and be heard.”
