Kingston, Ontario- Access to ongoing support and training is one of the top reasons franchisees prefer the Jani-King system. Hosting a Franchise Development Day is a great way a region can provide franchisees with that opportunity. Jerry Silveira, Regional Director of Jani-King of Eastern Ontario, and his team held an event May 31.st Franchisees received training, networked with other people in the system, and learned about the latest products.
The day began with a warm welcome and introductions from Jerry and Amber Ferguson. Wenda Westendorp, Director of System Development at Jani-King Canada, was the first guest speaker of the day. Wenda gave an informative speech on OH&S and WSIB (incident reports), and provided an update on Jani-King activities.
Next, Eric Stretch from Wood Wyant gave a presentation on floor cleaning. Eric also highlighted some new products and performed equipment demonstrations. Guillaume, an equipment expert at Wood Wyant attended the event to provide answers to questions franchisees had about equipment.
After the presentations concluded, lunch was served and a raffle draw took place. Franchisees were given time to network with each other and vendors including Purell, Rubbermaid, Cascade, and Proteam. The day ended with a final opportunity to ask questions and voice concerns.
