June was an important month for Jani-King Master Franchisors, Staff and Franchisees across the country. This month we traded our traditional uniforms for something a little bolder, with a lot of meaning.
If you saw our team out in the community wearing red, it was because this month was dedicated to our national charity, the Canadian Red Cross. In addition to wearing red throughout the month, many locations hosted fundraisers amoung other activities.
In Winnipeg, our team invited local customers, franchisees and neighbours to drop by our office for a tailgate party. We fired up the grill and just had a great time enjoying the summer weather and taking a break from our everyday tasks to raise awareness and funds in support of the Canadian Red Cross.
“ We receive so much support from our community, and it’s so important for us to be able to give back whenever the opportunity presents itself,” says Bill Cole, Regional Director for Jani-King of Manitoba. “ When we put the call out to our staff and franchisees everyone stepped up – wearing our co-branded red t-shirts to raise awareness for the Canadian Red Cross, and stopping by last week for some food at our fundraising BBQ. We even hosted an online ticket auction for Winnipeg Jets tickets. It’s been a great month!”
This year, all donations received through our 2018 Red Cross campaign will be matched by the Jani-King Canada head office up to a maximum donation of $40,000.
