On May 3rd, massive wildfires triggered the largest fire-related evacuation in Alberta history with tens of thousands of people forced to leave their homes in more than 12 communities, including Fort McMurray. Urgent emergency services are required to support individuals and families.
Last month, Jani-King raised $60,000 through the #janikingpledge in support of the Canadian Red Cross. Jani-King is extending the campaign to raise additional funds for the Red Cross as they continue to help people displaced by the fires in Alberta.
Throughout May, Jani-King will match donations made online at www.redcross.ca/janiking up to a maximum of $10,000. Please note that all individual donations made through this donation page before May 31st will also be matched by the Government of Canada.
“ Alberta is home to two Jani-King offices, with hundreds of franchises owners, staff and customers. Albertans have supported us for more than 20 years and they need our help,” says Murray Oxford, President of Jani-King Canada. “ We have all been touched by the devastation of this disaster, which is why we are extending our #janikingpledge campaign to support the efforts of the Canadian Red Cross and their extraordinary volunteers as they continue to provide relief to all affected.”
Your donation can provide relief for those affected in the form of emergency food, clothing, shelter, personal services, and other necessities to help assist with recovery and resiliency.
