Each year the Regional Office of Jani King of Nova Scotia takes part in The Salvation Army Centre of Hope’s Christmas Adopt – A – Family Program. Funds are raised through various fundraisers throughout the year including casual Fridays and bi-weekly summer BBQs where Nova Scotia’s Franchisees and other business’s in the Regional Office building purchase food and treats from Jani-King of Nova Scotia. All proceeds from these activities and sales go to the Adopt – A – Family Program.
This year Jani-King of Nova Scotia adopted a family which consisted of a single mom, two girls aged 2 and 6 and 1 year old boy. Due to the over whelming success of the barbecues and the many contributions from the Nova Scotia Franchisees, they were able to get everything on the families list as well as providing them with turkey dinner and all the fixings. With the left over proceeds, The Nova Scotia Regional Office was also able to donate $100 to Souls Harbour Rescue Mission which will provide 33 Christmas dinners to less fortunate residents who call on the mission.
