Introduction: At Jani-King of Eastern Ontario, we firmly believe in supporting and giving back to the brave men and women who serve our nation. This month, we proudly sponsored the 8 Wing Golf Tournament hosted by the Personnel Support Programs (PSP) at Canadian Forces Base Trenton (CFB Trenton). It was a day filled with camaraderie, appreciation, and exciting moments as we set up a booth on the hole, greeting the CFB members and providing them with sports water bottles filled with cold water to stay refreshed throughout the golf tournament. Additionally, the tournament featured an engaging contest where participants had the chance to win a $150 gift card to multiple restaurants. The event’s success was truly heartwarming, as it raised a total of $7,675.54, which will go towards supporting initiatives that benefit CFB Trenton and the larger community. In this blog post, we celebrate our participation in the 8 Wing Golf Tournament, sharing the highlights of this memorable day and the spirit of community that made it truly special.
A Day of Appreciation: Sponsoring the 8 Wing Golf Tournament was an honour for Jani-King of Eastern Ontario. It provided us with a unique opportunity to express our sincere appreciation to the dedicated members of CFB Trenton who selflessly serve our country. The event was more than just a golf tournament; it was a celebration of the sense of community and shared purpose that brings us all together.
A Booth of Warm Welcome: Our booth on the hole served as a welcoming gathering point for the golfers, offering a chance to say “hi” and extend our gratitude to each participant. The warm smiles and interactions created an atmosphere of camaraderie and appreciation throughout the tournament.
Hydration and Support: With the sun shining bright at the Roundel Glen Golf Course, we knew the importance of staying hydrated. To ensure the participants remained refreshed and focused on the game, we distributed sports water bottles filled with cold water. It was a simple gesture but one that represented our commitment to the well-being of CFB Trenton members.
Contest for Excitement and Generosity: Adding to the excitement of the tournament, Jani-King ran an engaging contest, offering participants the chance to win a $150 gift card to multiple restaurants. The contest garnered enthusiastic participation, making the day even more memorable for all involved.
Making a Positive Impact: The success of the 8 Wing Golf Tournament went beyond the golf scores. With the collective efforts of all participants, including Jani-King of Eastern Ontario, the event raised an impressive $7,675.54. These funds will contribute to supporting valuable initiatives that positively impact the Canadian Forces Base Trenton and the broader community.
