When did you start your Jani-King franchise?
I bought my Jani-King license in 2019 just before the pandemic started.
What interested you in the Jani-King franchise model?
I heard about the Jani-King Franchise Opportunity from a family member. I’ve worked in management in the past and love working with clients. My wife and I like being clean and organized, so Jani-King was a good fit for us.
What are your favourite aspects of owning a Jani-King franchise?
The best part about owning a Jani-King franchise is the training and support! Whenever I have a question, the Regional Office is always there to help.
I enjoy working for myself, setting my own schedule, and providing quality service for my customers. I’m very happy with Jani-King and eager to keep growing!
What are your favourite types of accounts/customers?
When I first started my Jani-King franchise I had one account. By providing service that went above and beyond my client’s expectations, I’ve been able to grow my business. Today, I work as a superintendent for a large condo complex. In addition to condos, I also enjoy cleaning office buildings.
What is something we might not know about you?
I moved to Ottawa from Vancouver with my family. I’m also fluent in French!
Do you have any advice for someone starting their own Jani-King franchise?
Communication is key. Check in with your client often, ask for feedback and answer any questions they may have. If you do receive a complaint, deal with it right away.
My wife and I clean all our accounts like they are our home. We make sure to keep the janitor room tidy and our uniforms clean to show we’re professionals who take pride in our work.
